A crowd of about 900 people came out for the fourth annual Tractors in the Park at the Boyertown Community Park on Saturday, Sept. 7. Tractors in the Park is a free event for the community hosted by the Boyertown Area Historical Society and Just Farm Kids tractor club.

The event included a display of tractors, pedal tractor competition, barrel train rides, vendors, kids area, raffles, petting zoo and food and drinks. “We thank all those who sponsored our amazing event at the park in Boyertown,” Luann Zambanini of the Historical Society said. Their goal is to host a fun event for the community, get together with the community and have a relaxing and fun day.

“One of my personal goals for the event is to make some great memories for the kids of the community,” Zambanini said. “I hope someday they’ll be in the park with their very own kids and they’ll remember the fun they had as a child with Tractors in the Park.” She hopes attendees gain from the experience a relaxing day and fond memories.

Highlights of the day for Zambanini were the looks on the kids’ faces seeing all the tractors and the fun they have at the event despite some wet weather. “Mother Nature wasn’t as kind to us as she could have been and has been in the past,” Zambanini said. “She rained down her good wishes on us a little too much!” Tractors in the Park is scheduled to continue in 2025 for its fifth year.

. “We can’t wait for next year!” Zambanini said. The Historical Society’s mission statement says: “To collect and preserve historically significant items and information from the Boyertown area past while enabling this history to be enjoyed and studied into the Boyertown area future.

” This event fits in perfectly with that mission statement. “We are showing the community the past with the old tractors, the present with the current day tractors and farm equipment and we are making memories for children to hold on to for the future,” Zambanini said..
