A key highlight will be the first-ever tri-services tableau, demonstrating battlefield operations across land, air, and sea, featuring indigenous defence assets like the Arjun battle tank, Tejas fighter jet, and advanced light helicopter. DRDO will also present a tableau on ‘Raksha Kavach’, depicting multi-layered defence systems. Cultural extravaganza The parade will include 31 tableaux—16 from states and Union Territories and 15 from central ministries and organisations—under the theme ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’. States like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Gujarat will showcase their cultural and developmental achievements.
The flypast will feature 40 aircraft from the Indian Air Force, including the C-130J Super Hercules, C-295, C-17 Globemaster, P-8I, MiG-29, and Su-30, alongside three Dornier aircraft from the Indian Coast Guard. A motorcycle stunt display by the daredevils of the Corps of Signals will also be part of the celebrations. President Droupadi Murmu will deliver an address to the nation on the eve of Republic Day, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the tributes to the country's martyrs at the National War Memorial before the parade.
The event will be led by Parade Commander Lt Gen Bhavnish Kumar, with Maj Gen Sumit Mehta as the Second-in-Command. The awards include two Kirti Chakras (one posthumous), 14 Shaurya Chakras (three posthumous), and 66 Sena Medals (seven posthumous).
Additionally, 58 personnel will receive Mention-in-Despatches, including four posthumous awards. These prestigious honours recognize extraordinary acts of bravery in operations such as Rakshak, Snow Leopard, Hifazat, and Sahayata.
