The Philadelphia 76ers aren't playing on Monday, but the fanbase is livid due to a recent decision made from their overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers. Superstar big man Joel Embiid was sidelined once again but was on the bench supporting his teammates. Well, a bit too much for the NBA's liking.

The league announced that "PHI’s Joel Embiid was assessed a postgame technical foul upon league office review for https://nba.com/watch/video/phi-vs-ind..

. on October 27 vs. IND.

" The link directs users to a play late in overtime, where Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard stepped up to the free throw line. While preparing to shoot, Embiid can be seen on the sideline yelling and waving a towel around in the air before Nembhard missed the first shot, sealing the game for Philadelphia. With the call coming roughly 24 hours after the game's conclusion, fans were furious at the league.

"It’s getting ridiculous bro," one user wrote. "league is so soft lol," another commented. This decision comes less than a week after the NBA launched their investigation into the 76ers and Embiid for his participation.

The technical foul given only further pushed the narratives from fans that the league is against Embiid. "Not like that point would’ve mattered," one fan shared. The Sixers were leading by three points with roughly 15 seconds left in overtime when Nembhard came to the line.

"Joel gotta stop waving these towels, come on Joel," a seemingly sarcastic comment read. MORE SIXERS NEWS: 76ers prepared to trade valuable assets for 22-year-old star, per new report.
