The SapphiresThe Sapphires is a war movie with a twistThe 2012 movie, The Sapphires, is another unconventional 60s comedy (clearly, Chris has a special interest). This time around we follow the eponymous all-girl group made up of four talented young Australian Aboriginal girls who are sent to entertain the US troops in Vietnam. The comedian plays a would-be music promoter who sees something special in them and is his ‘usual loveable self’ with some fans saying the entire movie was ‘truly elevated’ by his performance.
