This will include fresh products while introducing several existing models with a hybrid powertrain setup. Both companies have been working aggressively on hybrid technology and in the coming months, we will see it in most of their cars on sale in the domestic market.

This listicle provides all the details regarding the upcoming Maruti and Toyota hybrid cars in India. 1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara 7-seater: Internally codenamed Y17, it will be introduced in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.

The media reports claim that the 7-seater Vitara will go on sale first in mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid forms. While the mild-hybrid Vitara will get the 1.5L 4-cylinder K15C Smart Hybrid engine, the strong-hybrid model will carry a 1.

The Hyryder 7-seater will be built at Maruti Suzuki’s Kharkhoda factory alongside the Vitara 7-seater while supplied to Toyota. The three-row SUV will boast a longer wheelbase as compared to the standard version of the Hyryder to accommodate the extra row of seats. It will become the first Maruti car to feature the in-house developed strong hybrid system as presently models like Invicto and Grand Vitara use Toyota-sourced hybrid system.
