Islamabad - Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq has disclosed since one year, 500 Afghan nationals were involved in terrorist attacks in Pakistan and number is on the rise. He said among Afghan attackers on Pakistan have been Afghan militant commanders and Afghan military commanders which is extremely concerning for Pakistan. Ambassador Sadiq was addressing at a seminar “A Holistic Appraisal of the Security and Governance in KP” which was organised by Islamabad Policy Research Institute on Monday.
He said as special representative he is engaged with Kabul to convey Pakistan concerns to TTA so that hostilities may come down from Kabul and issue could be tackled amicably. Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq said TTP has become Flashpoint between Islamabad adding that it has to be tackled on priority by Kabul and Islamabad through negotiations. Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq said on refugees issue there is so much hue and cry on Afghan repatriation only this year five hundred sixty eight Afghan refugees have been repatriated via Pakistan border, however Iran only last year repatriated 1.
5 million Afghan refugees to Afghanistan but it was not boasted in the media. He said for Pakistan, it would fight against TTP with all resources, which is biggest challenge for Pakistan. He said there is no doubt about indian Raw presence in Afghanistan which is supporting and financing terrorists.
Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq said Indian RAW is exploiting situation in Afghanistan and said Pakistan need to reduce Indian space in Afghanistan however there is no such attention paid by Pakistan to reduce this open space. Addressing the seminar advisor KP Government talking about security situation in Para chinar said there is huge presence of militants however no military operation should be conducted which he said if done would aggravate situation.
