(Photo by Sean Zanni/Getty Images for Leviev) Getty Images for Leviev In a major move for a big jewelry company during New York’s fashion week , Leviev put nearly $50 million worth of jewelry on the runway Sunday night in a collaboration with Bach Mai. Mai and Leviev began working together to style his runway looks just over a month ago – curating a dazzling selection of jewelry to complement his spring/summer 2025 looks.
The Beaton jewelry collection, paired with 11 BachMai looks, pay homage to a famous couture fashion photograph taken by Cecil Beaton. With more than 11 significant high-diamond pieces being worn, the culmination was a spectacular finale on a model wearing a superb wedding dress by Bach Mai. The piece: a $5 million Le Bal high-diamond necklace set with 47 carats of diamonds and finished with a 32-carat pear-shaped Fancy Yellow diamond drop in the center.

That photograph inspired Bach Mai to put together dramatic looks and pair them with incredible jewelry. “To reimagine Cecil Beaton’s iconic scene of Charles James gowns, I envisioned looks that proposed a new American glamour shown on an inclusive and diverse cast of women. She says her team and Bach Mai had several meetings to go over every item they thought could work.
“He had full input on what the models were going to wear. It was truly a collaborative effort. He had a vision of what he wanted for the finale piece, too, and that it should be colorful and a special stone.

Following the runway walks, certain models re-assembled on stage to reenact the look of the original Cecil Beaton photograph. That photograph represented an important era in fashion, and Bach Mai —recreating the poses on stage with the gowns and jewels in all their glory – makes the ultimate fashion week statement.
