Several pets in Sussex are looking for their forever homes, including at the Brighton & The Heart of Sussex branch of the RSPCA. Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there are plenty of choices. A few animals from the branch are listed below, but more can be found on the centre's website.
To help the Brighton & The Heart of Sussex branch carry on their work, you can donate to them at the website here . Daisy Daisy (Image: RSPCA) Gender - Female Age - 10 years old Breed - Crossbreed/Unknown Colour - Black & Tan If you want to adopt Daisy you can view their full profile here . Daisy is described as a "friendly girl" once she trusts someone but can be worried by strangers.
She will be looking for an experienced owner and a quiet home environment to allow her time to settle. Daisy knows sit and her name and has a good recall but does stay on the lead on walks as she would chase wildlife. The RSPCA adds: "She can be hit and miss with other dogs when out and about, some she likes, some she doesn’t! Her previous owners said there does not seem to be a pattern with this.
" Daisy is still quite an active dog so would like to have her own garden to run around in. She will need to move into a home without children or visiting children. Frankie and Benny Frankie and Benny (Image: RSPCA) Gender - Male Age - Eight to 10 years old (Frankie) and five to six years old (Benny) Breed - American Cocker Spaniel Colour - White and Fawn If you want to adopt Frankie and Benny you can view their full profile here .
Frankie and Benny came into the care of the RSPCA after they were found abandoned. They were malnourished and both had ear infections and severe matting of their fur. Having now recovered they are looking to find a new home together.
The pair are described as friendly and affectionate dogs who will need housetraining after spending time in kennels. The RSPCA adds: "Benny seems sociable with other dogs but can be shy at first and needs careful introductions. Frankie will walk near other dogs but does not want to interact with them.
" Both could live with children of secondary school age and could be left alone for short periods. Milo Milo (Image: RSPCA) Gender - Male Age - Nine years old Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed Colour - Black If you want to adopt Milo you can view their full profile here . Milo is described as a "sweet-natured" and "curious" cat who likes human company.
He was surrendered by his owners as he wasn’t getting on well with the other cat in the home. Therefore, the RSPCA believes he should be the only pet in a new home, which he would prefer to be adult-only too. Additionally, he will need a secure garden to access as he is used to spending time outdoors.
