Bluebells can be a lovely thing to see around springtime, and there are various locations around Sussex where you can find them. The bell-shaped flowers with a violet glow are unmistakable and create a lovely spectacle to take in. A trail described as a "great place to reconnect with nature", it is considered a "moderately challenging route", taking an average of 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete. Visiting "lush forest and country lanes", the route takes in "varied sights and beautiful flowers in the spring". Stanmer Woods A more challenging route, this 8.5km loop trail near Brighton takes nearly three hours to complete but is a perfect springtime walk, with All Trails saying it is a "treasure to see the bluebells in bloom".

The route showcases the South Downs' "beautiful rolling hills", passing through Stanmer village, before winding through Highpark Wood, and returning via Flim Heap and open fields. The Largest National Parks in the UK Sheffield Park Gardens This "easier route" near Uckfield in East Sussex spans 4.3km, taking around an hour to complete.

While the trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime, AllTrails recommends the route during spring when the flowers are on "full display". Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes about two hours to complete. Starting in Burwash, this trail follows a "mix of paved roads and paths through farmland and green fields". It features "beautiful countryside" with wildflowers blooming in the spring.
