Crashes on Saskatchewan roads claimed fives lives on the weekend, according to RCMP. The first happened just after noon CST Friday on Highway 41 in the Rural Municipality of Flett's Springs, about 140 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon. Two SUVs collided and three people in one of the vehicles died at the scene, according to police.
The victims are a woman, 71, from Crystal Springs, a woman, 42, from Saskatoon and a man, 44, from Saskatoon. The driver of the other SUV was its only occupant and wasn't badly hurt. Other fatal crashes near Carievale, Parkbeg On Saturday just before noon CST, a single vehicle rolled off Rural Road 1312, northeast of Carievale, about 260 kilometres southeast of Regina.
The driver and sole occupant was declared dead by EMS. He's been identified as a man, 33, from Argyle. Just before 11 p.
m. CST Saturday, there was a third fatal accident. A vehicle had a rollover on Highway 1 near Parkbeg, about 130 kilometres west of Regina.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died at the scene. He has been identified as a 48-year-old man from Dinsmore..
