5 held for robbery; pistols, cash seized in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: Five men involved in an armed robbery , which took place at a medical store in New Palam Vihar 3, were arrested on Sunday. Two country-made pistols used during the loot, along with Rs 1 lakh in cash, were recovered from them. The accused, Ashutosh, Ajay, Ashish Pal and Krishna from Uttar Pradesh and Manish from Rewari were arrested on April 12.

According to police, the incident took place on March 30. The accused struck at night just before closing time, knowing that the cash would be the highest then. The complainant, an employee at the medical store, reported that three individuals entered the store, and two of them were wearing helmets.



First, they asked for some medicines that were not available at the store and suddenly pulled out guns to threaten the employees. They looted cash from the store before fleeing, the complainant told police. TNN.
