Peak to Peak is at Prospect Ridge on Friday night for a Class 4A top-10 matchup. “We’re anticipating a standing-room-only crowd,” PRA communications and engagement manager David Wilson told BoCoPreps via email. The second-ranked Pumas (13-1) have won the past two meetings of this series, thumping PRA by double digits in both 2023 and ‘24.

Prior to that, the No. 8 Miners had won three straight. Peak to Peak leads the all-time series with seven wins to three losses.

For preps games or events to watch this week, we take a look at basketball, hockey and skiing. Alpine Slalom Event, all day on Thursday at Howelsen Hill Nederland is expected to attend the Steamboat Springs-hosted event alongside Middle Park, Platte Canyon, Clear Creek and Lake County. At the giant slalom event in Keystone last weekend, the Panthers’ boys finished third and their girls took fourth.

Individually, senior Cole Gjertson finished fifth and Ryder Lanning sixth for them in the boys’ event. Victoria Krol was 16th and Bianca Cirne 17th in the girls’ race. SkyView Academy at Lyons girls’ basketball; Friday at 5:30 p.

m. The Lions (10-3, 5-1 Mile High League) can stay within a game of league-leading Heritage Christian (9-2, 6-0) with a win here. On Tuesday, they suffered a 12-point loss to Dayspring Christian (6-7, 5-1), snapping their three-game winning streak.

Now, they’ll face SkyView Academy (7-6, 5-1) for the first time since rallying to beat them in last year’s district tournament, 35-32. Longmont at Mead boys’ basketball, Friday at 7 p.m.

Both the 5A No. 13 Trojans and No. 14 Mavericks are looking to get back on track after suffering big losses on Tuesday.

Longmont’s defense faltered in a 79-43 loss to Legacy earlier in the week — a game in which Lightning junior Jaedon Ward had a school-record 10 3s. The Trojans can hope that it was just a blip in what’s been a stingy group this winter, where they’re allowing just 47 points per game. 3 party: Legacy basketball’s Jaedon Ward hits a school-record 10 3s in rout of Longmont /*! 5. PRA (10-3, 2-0) has four players averaging at least 12 PPG, led by seniors Liam Schilling (13.5 PPG) and Travis Agbosse (13.

1 PPG, 7.1 RPG). Bonus: Cherry Creek at Monarch hockey, Saturday at 7 p.

m. The 5A No. 2 Coyotes lost their No.

10 Ralston Valley a day later. Here, they get the No. 5 Bruins for the second time this season.

In their meeting on Jan. 10, Zachary Rathbun had two goals and an assist in Monarch's 3-2 win. The senior leads the team with 19 points this season — seven goals and 12 assists.
