Surat: A 43-year-old man allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in Pal area of Surat. The accused owns a pan shop outside the girl's society. Pal police arrested the accused, Ramkesh, and started investigation.
According to the complaint filed by the girl's mother, on March 24, the complainant found her phone missing. When she checked, she discovered it was with her 15-year-old daughter. After getting the phone from her, she found an unknown number dialled on it.
When she checked it in a call identification app, she found Ramkesh's name was associated with it. When the complainant and her husband asked their daughter about Ramkesh, she told them that the person was none other than the one who owned a pan shop outside their society. She also told her parents that one day when she went to Ramkesh's shop to buy snacks, he pulled her inside his shop and raped her.
The girl also told her parents that Ramkesh threatened her not to reveal the incident to anyone. "We have nabbed Ramkesh and found that he was married and has four kids. We produced him in court, after which he was sent to Lajpore jail," said a police officer.
