Prayagraj: Four persons died after they were run over by a speeding dumper near Dariyapur power house, Raniganj area on Varanasi Lucknow highway in Pratapgarh on Tuesday night. SP (Pratapgarh) Anil Kumar told TOI that while two persons died on spot, two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment. He also informed that the dumper was on its way to Haryana from Jahanabad.
He said it was a case of reckless driving and the dumper after crashing with several vehicles had hit people standing on the road on Tuesday night. The errant driver was sent to jail after registering a case. tnn.
