Ludhiana: Four people, including a woman, were booked for allegedly beating up and robbing a woman and her three daughters. The accused punched the woman, who is three-month pregnant, in the abdomen, she alleged. The accused included Gurpal Singh Nikky, Sarabjit Singh Sabba, Paramjit Singh Pamma and Paramjit’s wife Baljit Kaur, all of Manewal village under Machhiwara police station area.
Complainant Amandeep Kaur of the same village told police on Nov 16, she, along with her three daughters, was returning home after paying obeisance at a gurdwara when the accused surrounded and beat them up. She alleged Gurpal and Sarabjit, who were in inebriated condition, also “teased” her daughters and snatched her gold earrings, chain and silver bangles. The complainant alleged the accused entered her house and damaged the household articles.
