3 people injured in Highway 56 crash in Goodhue County

Two drivers and a passenger had non-life threatening injuries.

WARSAW TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota Highway 56 north of Kenyon on Thursday, April 10, 2025. A 2014 Infiniti Q60 was traveling north on Highway 56 and a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling west on Goodhue County Road 9 when the vehicles collided in the intersection around 11:30 a.

m. Thursday, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report. ADVERTISEMENT The driver of the Infiniti, 45-year-old Kelly Anne Rasmusson of Kenyon, had non-life threatening injuries.



She was treated at the scene for her injuries. Her passenger, 18-year-old Carter Daniel Elverud of Kenyon, also had non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Northfield Hospital.

The driver of the Dodge, 43-year-old Ahmed Omar Yusuf of Rochester, had non-life threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene for his injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Kenyon Police Department and Northfield Ambulance Service responded to the crash.
