3 hours for darshan on Kartheeka Pournami in Yadadri

Yadadri Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy Temple on Friday witnessed a massive influx of devotees on the occasion of the auspicious Kartheeka Pournami. It took three hours for the devotees to receive normal darshan and another one and a half hours for special darshan. Devotees queued up for darshan at the temple from early in the morning.

Thousands of couples took part in Sri Sathyanarayana Swamy vratahams, which were conducted in six batches in the vratha mandapam located down the hill shrine. In view of the rush of devotees at the shrine, personal vehicles were not allowed into the hill shrine. In Nalgonda district, thousands of devotees thronged the ancient Sri Chaya Someshwaralayam at Panagal and participated in a special abhisekham at the temple.



As per age-old practice, women devotees released diyas (Kartheeka Deepams) on the temple pond. Sri Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple at Cheruvugattu, Shivalayam at Pillalamarri, and Agastheswara Swamy Temple at Wadapally also witnessed a huge rush of devotees on Friday..
