Centurion: South Africa defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the second match of the three-match T20 series. South Africa achieved Pakistan's target of 207 runs in 19.3 overs for the loss of three wickets and took a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.
In the match played in Centurion, Pakistan captain Muhammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan scored 206 runs after losing five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Saim Ayub batted aggressively and remained unbeaten on 98 runs off 57 balls.
His innings included five sixes and 11 fours. In addition, captain Muhammad Rizwan was dismissed for 11, Babar Azam for 31, Usman Khan for three and Tayyab Tahir for six runs. Irfan Khan scored 30 runs off 16 balls while Abbas Afridi remained unbeaten on 11 runs off four balls.

South Africa's Ryan Rickleton returned to the pavilion after scoring two and Matthew Bretzke scored 12 runs, while captain Henrik Klaasen remained unbeaten on eight runs. For Pakistan, Jahandad Khan took two wickets for 40 runs in his four overs, while Abbas Afridi took one wicket for 46 runs in 3.3 overs.
Shaheen Afridi failed to take any wickets after giving 37 runs with five fours and a six in four overs, while Haris Rauf also was unable to take a single wicket after giving 57 runs with seven sixes and a four in his four overs. It is pertinent to note that a change has been made in the national team for the second T20. Fast bowler Jahandad Khan has been included in the team in place of spinner Sufyan Muqim.
