2nd delivery at Kumbh temporary hospital

Prayagraj: Close on the heels of the birth of a baby boy named "Kumbh" at the temporary hospital on the mela campus on Sunday evening, the hospital on Monday facilitated the delivery of a baby girl, marking the second consecutive day of deliveries. With the consent of both the hospital and the family, the baby was named "Ganga." In charge of the central hospital Dr Gaurav Dubey told TOI: "The baby was born at 12:08 pm on Monday through the efforts of a skilled medical team comprising Dr Pramila and Dr Ponshi.

The parents, Shivkumari and Rajel, of Banda, consider the birth of their daughter in Maha Kumbh a blessing from Mother Ganga." Dr Dubey further said the weighs 2.8 kg, and both mother and child are healthy.



The parents are labourers at the Kumbh. Earlier, on Sunday evening, the first delivery on the Maha Kumbh campus was recorded with the birth of a baby boy.
