A total of 23 checkpoints have been set up in Faisalabad division, out of which eight are in Jhang district, seven in Faisalabad district, while four each in Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh districts. The staff of the Livestock Department has been deployed at these check posts in a 24-hour double shift duty and animals coming from other districts are being sprayed with ticks/flies.

In this regard, Director Livestock Dr. Syed Nadeem Badar visited various check posts set up in the division and checked the attendance of the veterinary staff posted there. In addition, he reviewed the medicines available there and issued instructions to the staff to perform their duties efficiently.



Furthermore, he also requested the truck owners to stop their vehicles at the check posts set up by the Livestock Department and to get their animals sprayed with tick/bee repellent. He said that the Livestock Department has issued an alert regarding Lumpy Skin Disease and livestock farmers have been advised to maintain hygiene in their enclosures, monitor symptoms in animals and in case of disease, report the disease online through the ADDRS app system of the Livestock Department.
