Ludhiana: The police have filed a case against a 22-year-old man for allegedly raping a minor girl from his neighbourhood. The minor told the police that the accused had been raping her for the past three months by threatening her. The incident came to light on Tuesday night when the girl’s brother found her missing from the house late at night.
The 14-year-old girl’s brother shared that on Tuesday night, the entire family was sleeping in the house. Late at night, he woke up and noticed his sister was missing. He searched the house but couldn’t find her.
Eventually, he went to the roof and saw his sister jumping from the wall of the neighbouring house. When he asked her about it, she revealed that the neighbour had been sexually assaulting her for the past three months. Thereafter, the family informed the police and filed a written complaint.
The police said a case has been registered against the accused, who is on the run. Raids are being conducted.
