20-year-old Waterville man charged with murder

Police arrested and charged a 20-year-old Waterville man on Friday with murder for allegedly fatally shooting another man in February. Tyler Quirion was indicted by the Kennebec County grand jury on Thursday and is facing charges of murder, manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to Maine State Police Lt. Aaron M.

Turcotte. On the morning of Feb. 19, police responded to a report of a shooting outside a South Grove Street residence in Waterville and found Justin Iraola, 22, of Winslow, deceased.



Police previously said Iraola died of multiple gunshot wounds . The Waterville Police Department and Maine State Police detectives arrested Quirion, who was transported to the Kennebec County Jail and is being held without bail. His first court appearance is expected to be on Monday.
