• As group rates Atiku high, denounces attacks by Bode George Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is re-strategising towards positioning itself for victory in the 2027 elections. He expressed confidence that the party was gaining more acceptance and rebuilding its base, particularly by engaging the youth ahead of 2027. He also commended PDP representatives and state Assembly members for their dedication to their constituents, describing their efforts as crucial in strengthening the party’s support.

Speaking in Sokoto, yesterday, during the distribution of Ramadan food items to party leaders, members, families and groups across the state, Tambuwal emphasised the party’s renewed political focus and determination. MEANWHILE, a group, Nigerian Youths for Atiku (NYFA), has urged the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, to stop attacking and opposing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition. The Director of Communications of NYFA (Nigeria and Diaspora), Dare Dada, made the call in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

He described George’s opposition to Atiku as, “an inconsequential nuisance that should be ignored.” The statement reads: “Bode George should open a campaign office in Lagos for the re-elections of Bola Tinubu, as his constant attacks and campaign against Atiku towards 2027 are becoming irrational and irritating.” “Interestingly, Bode George is standing alone.

Nigerians have left him behind. The general opinion across the country is focused on how to rescue our country from the doldrums, and with Atiku, the chances are very high.” According to him, Bode should rather concentrate on fixing the Lagos PDP.

It alleged that George’s activities and roles in the party had led to the failure of the party and the resignation of notable party members in Lagos. The statement added: “Chief George is one of those reckless politicians, who is responsible for the sorry state of the PDP today; his continued envy of Atiku Abubakar is well noted. “As a result, we have decided to ignore a local champion, who never delivered his polling unit for the party.

“As an elder of the party who should have busied himself with how to save the soul of the party and its accelerated dwindling fortunes, he focuses on attacking Atiku.”.
