There’s a new Camry in town. The 2025 Toyota Camry is now available to order, with pricing starting just shy of $40,000 before on-road costs. Under the skin, this is a heavy update rather than an all-new car.
It shares its wheelbase with the last Camry , but has a larger body and a new hybrid system under the bonnet. Gone is the petrol-only model; the Camry is now only offered with a hybrid setup. Pricing for the new Camry is up between $2073 and $2573, with the range kicking off just shy of $40,000 before on-roads, while the private-buyer-focused SL is north of $50,000 before on-road costs. This is the first Toyota in Australia to gain the brand’s new fifth-generation hybrid system. It’s more powerful, and offers better claimed efficiency than its predecessor.

The new Toyota Camry has a five-star safety rating from ANCAP, based on testing conducted in 2024. It received an adult occupant protection rating of 95 per cent, a child occupant protection rating of 87 per cent, a vulnerable road user protection rating of 84 per cent, and a safety assist rating of 81 per cent.
