Porsche has finally taken the wraps off the newest generation of the 911 GT3 and we are over the moon. Here is everything that is new. The Porsche 911 GT3 is an important car in the 911 lineup.
The new 992.2 generation 911 has already gone hybrid so we were yet to see if the newest GT3 still says pure bred and naturally aspirated. The dreams continues to live on and the new GT3 comes with a few updates but carries the 4.
0L flat six screamer of an engine. The 992.2 generation has seen very subtle changes.
Just like before, it follows Porsche’s philosophy of evolution rather than revolution. The new generation looks very similar to the old one and only the keen eyed will notice the differences but it is all new. 2025 Porsche 911 GT3: Design The 992.
2 generation of the GT3 has subtle design changes. There is a new bumper which no longer houses the DRLs and they are a part of the headlight itself. The headlights are a little different from before, more in line with the latest generation of the 911.
The spoiler is a little different as well while the rear does away with all the black plastic now and gets a cleaner more refined look. Its more rounded up and even though the changes aren’t big, they make all the difference. One can also option magnesium wheels now which are quite a bit lighter and look similar to what offered on the previous generation GT3RS.
Inside, there are new lightweight bucket seats which have a thorax airbag and powered height adjustability. If you really are a track aficionado, then you can get a seat shell completely made out of carbon fibre. If you want to daily your GT3, then the 18-way power adjustable sports seats is the way to go.
Surprisingly, Porsche even though has given the regular Carrera models a Push-button start system, the GT3 retains the old ignition key which you have to twist. The gauge cluster is fully digital now, even the tachometer. One can choose between different info displays and also put it in track mode which only shows the essential information.
2025 Porsche 911 GT3: The Mechanicals Everyone wants to know about the engine. The 911 GT3 fortunately retails the naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine which produces 502 bhp and 450 Nm of torque.
While it makes the same amount of power as before, the torque number has seen a hit of around 20 Nm. To still survive the strict emission norms, the GT3 now employs four catalytic converters and two gas particulate filters. There are a lot of parts from the GT3RS as well, like the hotter camshafts.
There is a revised head, new oil coolers and new throttle bodies as well. The engine still revs up to 9,000 rpms. Another great thing is that the 6-speed manual has stayed and is standard.
Porsche has tweaked the final drive of the vehicle to reduce the gearing of the vehicle which was a concern for many previously. The 7-speed PDK is still the same. The new GT3 borrows some inspiration from the GT3RS and gets similar aerodynamically adept suspension components.
The front link of the lower wishbone has a lower mounting point as well which reduces dive when braking hard, another trick from the RS books. There are subtle aero changes all across the car, and if you really want to go to the track, you can get a Weissach package as well which gets carbon fibre roof, mirror caps, drop links, spoiler end plates, and shear panel. It also allows you to get the lighter weight Magnesium wheels.
2025 Porsche 911 GT3: The Touring The 911 GT3 Touring is for the first time launched alongside the regular GT3. As usual, it does away with the wing. One can also option the Touring with the Leichtbau package which gives it carbon roof which is colored instead of it being exposed, magnesium wheels, and a short shifter from the 911 S/T.
2025 Porsche 911 GT3: Pricing And Availability The next generation GT3 will be available to order from the end of this year with deliveries starting from summer next year. Prices start from $222,500 (around Rs 1.87 crore).
While the official numbers of how many total will be produced is unknown, the GT3 always remains in demand and Porsche has made it a regular production model so they will make as many as people want. The GT3 will be hard to get for sure but we can only dream about it for now. Click for more latest Auto news .
