KUALA LUMPUR: The 2025 Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends is poised to position Malaysia as a regional leader in healthcare transformation and innovation.

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2025 Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends is poised to position Malaysia as a regional leader in healthcare transformation and innovation.Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the event aimed to elevate the country as Asean's premier hub for healthcare innovation.He also said it served as a thought leadership platform, bringing together global and local stakeholders, including those from non-governmental organisations, investors and the public.

"Building on the momentum of 2024 MIH Megatrends, which successfully convened healthcare professionals and industry leaders, this year's edition aims to deepen the impact. "It will continue to serve as a platform for business matchmaking, health literacy, sharingknowledge advancement and showcasing innovations that define the future of healthcare," he said in his speech during the soft launch of the 2025 MIH Megatrend event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel today.Dzulkefly said the event, held in strategic collaboration with KPJ Healthcare Bhd, was scheduled to take place from Nov 25 to 27.



With the theme "Innovating for a Healthier Sustainable Future", he said the event is in line with Malaysia's strategic direction as Asean chair this year.He also said the event would focus on non-communicable diseases, public health and sustainability, in line with the aspirations outlined in the Health White Paper."We are expecting over 20,000 visitors, including leaders, healthcare policymakers, clinicians, innovators and industry experts," he said.

The event, he added, would serve as a platform to exchange ideas and explore scalable solutions in value-based care, artificial intelligence, mental health, biotechnology and sustainable healthcare practices.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
