Hyundai will mark its entry into the mass-market electric segment with the launch of the much-awaited Creta EV Whether it is launching new models or updating the existing ones, Kia has been quite active in the Indian market since its debut in the year 2019 and it is preparing to launch another new SUV soon. Similarly, the Korean giant Hyundai is also ready with a new all-electric SUV. Let’s look at the 2 new Hyundai and Kia cars launching soon in India.

1. Kia Syros Scheduled for an official unveil on December 19, the Syros will be positioned above the Sonet in the brand’s line-up. Kia recently confirmed the Syros name for the upcoming SUV and the test mule of the compact SUV has already been spotted multiple times.

The company also shared the teaser of the Syros, revealing the silhouette and confirming that it will get a panoramic sunroof. Going by the first teaser, the four-wheeler sports a tallboy design, resembling the likes of the latest launches in the market i.e.

the new-gen Carnival and EV9. The SUV will sport an upright stance with a boxy design language along with the vertically stacked LED DRLs upfront, a large window line, functional roof rails and flush-fitting door handles. The upcoming Kia Syros will get both ICE and electric powertrains, however, the electric version will be launched at a later stage.

As per the latest media reports, the Syros will be powered by the familiar 1.0 litre tGDi petrol and 1.5 litre CRDi diesel engines.

2. Hyundai Creta EV Hyundai is all set to launch the Creta EV in the Indian market early next year at the 2025 Auto Expo. Hyundai’s first mass-market electric car in the country will be based on the latest facelifted Creta.

The design will be familiar to the conventionally powered SUV, albeit with some EV-specific touches like a blanked-off front grille, EV badging inside out and aero-efficient alloy wheels amongst others. In terms of the powertrain, it will use a 45 kWh battery pack with the power output rated at 138 bhp and 255 Nm of peak torque. This setup is a straight life-off from the base-spec version of the latest generation Kona EV sold in the international markets.

The Creta EV will get a single-motor front-wheel-drive setup in India. Once launched, it will rival the likes of the Mahindra BE 6e, Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara amongst others..
