2000 – 25 years ago Babylift orphans held a tribute outside of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam marking 25 years since the crash of a military plane killed 144 people, 75 of them babies, being evacuated to America. Quick action by bystanders at a hotel pool saved a six-year-old boy from a possible drowning Tuesday. He was discovered floating face down in the pool and retrieved by bystanders who performed CPR.

1975 – 50 years ago The Minnesota Vikings said a modest expansion of Metropolitan Stadium, which is the smallest in the league, would be totally unacceptable and the Vikings may be forced to leave.
