The arrests relate to an incident in the early hours of October 26 on Thorne Close near Rogers Road. Police were called at about 2.05am after reports of gunfire.

They found two men, aged 25 and 27, with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged. On Wednesday, December 18, officers carried out warrants at several addresses.

The 16-year-old boy, an 18-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. They remain in custody for questioning. Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting CAD 757/26Oct, or give details anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Detective Inspector David Hickford said: “These arrests mark a significant point in our investigation to establish exactly what happened, and why, on 26 October. “Two men sustained injuries as a result of being shot and it is vital that we hear from anyone who was in the area that night, and who is yet to speak with officers. “I would also ask that you check any dash cam footage to see if you captured the shooting.
