By Aniekan Aniekan, CalabarThe All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has denied knowledge of a petition against the lawmaker representing Cross River North in the National Assembly, Senator Jarigbe Agom.The chairman of the party, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, disclosed this in the party Secretariat in Calabar while reacting to a petition by the Northern Cross River Coalition, NORTHCO, against the lawmaker.He said the party did not authorize one Bernard Afu of NORTHCO to write any petition against constituency projects allocated to the northern senatorial district in the 2025 budget.

He, however, stated that NORTHCO is purely an APC affair and recognized by the party but as a support group, saying he expects the group to fully register with the party.The state chairman also disclosed that the state working committee of the party has resolved that Governor Senator Bassey Otu and his deputy Peter Odey are the sole gubernatorial candidates of the party in the 2027 elections.He said nobody changes a winning team, and the state party executives are happy with the governor’s achievements.
