Representative Image MUMBAI: To facilitate the construction of the 6th line between Goregaon and Kandivali, a block of 10 hours was undertaken on Up and Down slow lines and Down fast line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations from midnight to 10 am on Sunday. The Mail and Express trains were delayed by 10-20 minutes due to the block. Some suburban trains were cancelled/short terminated during the block and this inconvenienced commuters taking trains on Sunday morning.

WR chief spokesperson Vineet Abhishek said during the block, all UP slow line trains were operated on the Up fast line from Borivali to Goregaon. Similarly, all Down slow line trains ran on the Down fast line from Andheri, and these trains were dealt at platform No. 7 of Goregaon station.

"Between Goregaon and Borivali stations, all Down slow line trains ran on the 5th line and due to unavailability of platforms, these trains did not halt at Ram Mandir, Malad and Kandivali stations. Additionally, a few Churchgate-Borivali slow train services were short-terminated and reversed from Goregaon station," he added..
