As revealed by The Australian Financial Review , the Albanese government this week whittled down the contenders for its general purpose frigate project to two bids – from German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) and Japanese shipbuilder Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
