HYDERABAD - Chairman Board of Secondary Education, Asif Ali Memon, has stated that strong efforts are underway to prevent cheating during the 9th and 10th-grade examinations. He was speaking to journalists at the Board office. Chairman said that an e-paper system has been introduced to prevent cheating.
He disclosed that 101 students have been caught and booked for cheating, while ten individuals impersonating students were apprehended attempting to sit in the exams in place of original candidates. Chairman clarified that no paper was leaked prior to the exams. He said that some students sitting inside the examination halls sent the question papers outside via WhatsApp, but there was no paper leak before the exams began or from any exam centers.
Chairman added that strict monitoring is being conducted on the staff responsible for collecting papers from banks and delivering to exam centers and these staff members are not allowed to carry mobile phones with them. Chairman said that Sindh government has instructed strict action to curb cheating during exams. He called the media as the “eyes” of the Board and assured that action will be taken against the cheating mafia based on media reports.
