But Andrew Keegan now sports a very different style to the slick schoolboy character Joey he played in the beloved high school comedy 25 years ago.
The American actor, 45, looked almost unrecognisable during an interview on Nine's Today Extra on Wednesday. Showing off a five o'clock shadow and wearing his thick black locks in a short cut, the father-of-one discussed what it was like to film the movie with the late Heath Ledger. Andrew said that the pair were just 19 when they made the box office smash which also launched the careers of Julia Stiles (The Bourne Identity) and Knives Out star Jospeh Gordon-Levitt.
'We were all relatively unknown and didn't really know what were were getting into but we knew something magical was happening and we really enjoyed that time together,' he said. 10 Things I Hate About You hunk doesn't look like this anymore! 'There were no cell phones, you know we just had to actually hang out.

He also revealed that after filming was completed, he accompanied Heath on a trip Down Under to visit his family in Perth. '[Heath's family] actually had a kangaroo. They were taking care of a Joey [a baby kangaroo].
'So I'm pretty convinced everybody had a roo in Australia,' he joked. At one point, Andrew became visibly shaken as he recalled how he felt over the sudden loss of Heath who died in 2008 aged 28. 'After the film wrapped we were a couple of unemployed actors,' he began.
'And we spent a lot of time the next year going round the Hollywood world if you will, and...
it's kind of hard to talk about because it was such a tremendous loss, not only personally [because of] everything he had to offer.' He also had a regular role on 7th Heaven as Wilson West. In 2005 ,he went back to TV with Related then popped up on CS: NY in 2010. In 2014 he worked with Ryan Guzman on April Rain.
Meanwhile, Andrew has also made headlines over the years with a series of high profile romances. In 1997 he was linked to Jennifer Love Hewitt. The next year he started romancing LeAnn Rimes, who he dated for three years.
In 2001 he was dating Piper Perabo and then from 2002 to 2003 Andrew was with Elisha Cuthbert. Keegan began dating his current girlfriend Arista Ilona in 2013 and they welcomed their first child together, daughter Aiya Rose, in 2016.
