Vadodara: A private bus carrying passengers to Bhopal collided with a truck near Bhathwada on the Ahmedabad-Indore highway. At least 10 people were hurt in the incident, with two sustaining serious injuries. The incident occurred near the Bhathwada toll plaza, located on the border of the Panchmahal and Dahod districts.
The bus rammed into a truck from the rear. The cabin of the bus was badly damaged, and passengers got trapped inside. Sources said the truck slowed down to negotiate a speed breaker on the highway when the bus, travelling at high speed, rammed into the truck from behind.
Personnel from the Godhra fire brigade rushed to the accident spot and rescued the injured people. They were taken to Godhra for treatment. Two of them were seriously injured and were referred to a hospital in Vadodara.
