1 killed, 5 injured in clash between two clans in Gopalganj

A man was killed and five others were injured in a clash between two clans over disconnection of electricity at Muksudpur upazila in Gopalganj district on Tuesday night.The clash took place around 9 pm at Mohishtuli village under the upazila.The dead was Satish Roy, 55, a resident of that village.Muksudpur Police Station inspector confirmed it.He said that the clash started between the two clans with sticks at one stage of the argument between Sudeep Moulik and Milon Mandal of that village over the disconnection of the electricity connection. Meanwhile, Satish Roy of the same village tried to stop the clash.

At that time, someone hit him on the head from behind and he was seriously injured. He was rushed to Muksudpur hospital in critical condition where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. MHM/SR.
