1 dead, 2 two injured after car-bus collision on Mangaluru- Bengaluru road

A tragic accident on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru road near Seetha Palace in B Mooda Village resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to two others. The deceased, Manasa, was traveling with her husband Anish Krishna, who sustained severe injuries. Another accident in Kalcherpe village claimed the life of two-wheeler rider Naveen.

Image used for representational purpose only MANGALURU : A tragic accident involving a car , a KSRTC bus , and a two-wheeler occurred on Saturday, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to two others. The deceased is Manasa, 27. The incident took place on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru road near Seetha Palace in B Mooda Village of Bantwal.

According to the police , Manasa, who was married on Sept 5, was travelling in a car with her husband, Anish Krishna, 28, who sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru. In a complaint filed by Sunil Tondur, a KSRTC bus driver from Haveri, the bus was en route from Mangaluru to Mysuru when the accident occurred. The complaint stated that while the bus was moving towards BC Road, a car allegedly driven recklessly by Anish Krishna crossed the road divider and collided with the bus.



The car then hit a motorcycle heading from Mangaluru towards BC Road, causing the car to overturn. As a result of the collision, the car's occupants, Anish Krishna and Manasa, along with the motorcyclist, Kanthesh, sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Tumbe, where doctors declared Manasa dead.

The car driver and the biker are currently being treated for injuries at a private hospital in Mangaluru. A case has been registered, and investigation are ongoing. Two-Wheeler Rider Killed In another accident, a two-wheeler rider died after the scooter hit an autorickshaw in Kalcherpe village, Aletti, Sullia taluk on Saturday.

According to the police, the deceased is Naveen. He was riding his scooter when an autorickshaw driven by Raghavendra P. J.

collided, causing Naveen to be thrown onto the road along with his scooter. Naveen sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon examination. A case has been registered at Sullia Police Station.
