1 dead, 1 injured in Orange County crash, FHP says

One person is dead and one in critical condition after an early Thursday morning crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

One person is dead and one in critical condition after an early Thursday morning crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash involved a Hyundai sedan that crashed into a pole around 3:37 a.m.

on Avalon Park Boulevard and Timber Springs Boulevard, FHP stated in a preliminary report. The driver, who was not identified, was pronounced dead on the scene while a passenger was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition, the report stated. The crash remains under investigation.



The northbound and southbound lanes of Avalon Park Boulevard remained blocked as of 7 a.m. with traffic being diverted at Waterford Chase Parkway.
